On Wednesday, we published a request from Dr. Richard Belzer to patent practitioners and patent applicants to submit comments regarding the Ex parte Appeal Rule to the Office and Management and Budget (OMB) (see "Unhappy with the Ex parte Appeal Rule? Read This Now -- Updated"). Because the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office has not made its submission to the OMB requesting clearance for the Ex parte Appeal Rule under the Paperwork Reduction Act (PRA) easily available on its website, we were asked to publish a follow-up report providing links to the PTO's submission at the OMB website (as well as a few other potentially useful links). According to Dr. Belzer, the single most important document is the PTO's Supporting Statement, a copy of which can be obtained here.
